Requirements to Visit Campus. All visitors, vendors, and affiliates must: Be sponsored by an NYU student, faculty member, or employee. Visitors and Vendors must be sponsored in NYU's visitor management system by a current NYU employee, faculty member, or student.

Most students admitted to NYU have an unweighted GPA of 3.7 or above, so you'll need to have at least a 3.7 to be seriously evaluated. To meet the NYU GPA requirements, you'll have to score primarily A's and A-'s on your high school courses.

You should also have a 3.69 GPA or higher. If your GPA is lower than this, you need to compensate with a higher SAT/ACT score. For a school as selective as NYU, you'll also need to impress them with the rest of your application. We'll cover those details next.

NYU admissions is very selective with an acceptance rate of 21%. Students that get into NYU have an average SAT score between 1370-1540 or an average ACT score of 31-34.

After WSN reported on claims of food poisoning last month, more students have come forward with accounts of unsanitary conditions in NYU dining halls — including cockroaches and rodents.

You should also have a 4.18 GPA or higher. If your GPA is lower than this, you need to compensate with a higher SAT/ACT score. For a school as selective as Harvard, you'll also need to impress them with the rest of your application.

It is tough to get into Harvard. The university receives applications from more qualified applicants than they can accept, and most applicants have at least a 4.18GPA. Meeting GPA and SAT/ACT requirements (although these are now optional) will help you get through the first round of filters.

Generally, most high schools subtract (. 3) for a minus grade and add (. 3) for a plus grade, where 4.0 is considered the highest GPA. Though the calculation of average GPA is quite simple on a 4.0 scale, you can always contact your school's counselor's office for better estimation and results.

In truth, you need close to a 4.0 unweighted GPA to get into Yale. That means nearly straight As in every class.

What matters most to NYU? ›

There are five factors that NYU ranks as being “very important” to their admissions process: 1) rigor of secondary school record, 2) class rank, 3) GPA, 4) standardized test scores, and 5) talent/ability.

While both schools are competitive, Columbia is more selective than NYU. For the class of 2026, the admissions rate at Columbia was just 3.7% versus the admission rate of 12.2% at NYU for the same year.

York's city centre is surrounded by historic walls, which are free to access on foot throughout the year. No visit to York would be complete without a walk around the City Walls.

York's City Walls are FREE. They are open to walk on from about 8.00am to dusk daily (except in conditions when repairs/maintenance, snow or ice may make them dangerous)

NYU Campus Safety

Campus Safety operates 24 hours a day servicing both on campus and non-campus locations with vehicular and foot patrols, emergency response, building security and the Safe Ride program. All residence halls have a Campus Safety Officer posted in the lobby of the building 24 hours a day.

Most pests will reproduce according to food, and, unfortunately, New York is severely overpopulated. So there's an abundance of food and shelter for them to just keep reproducing.

NYU residence halls provide their residents with light bulbs, toilet paper, and garbage bags…for free! Take advantage of this before you live off campus and have to spend your own money.
